1. How much does the program cost?

Tuition is $1,500.00.  You will need to pay for your own transportation to and from ACF.  If you choose to stay in the dormitory, there will be an additional $500.00 fee for room and board.

2.  When is The Aronson Cello Festival (ACF)?

Mandatory check-in and arrival on June 5, 2022 by 1:00 pm.

The Festival begins on June 6 and concludes on the evening of June 12, 2022.

Students are required to attend the full duration of the program. Short leaves of absence are approved on a case-by-case basis by ACF Administration and faculty. 

3.  Where is The Aronson Cello Festival (ACF)?

The Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) is hosting the seventh Aronson Cello Festival (ACF).

4.  Are there scholarships?

Yes, there are possible scholarship opportunities based on merit and need.

Does this sound like you? Then, please join us for an inspiring week at the Seventh Aronson Cello Festival (ACF) hosted by the Cleveland Institute of Music from June 6-12, 2022.

7.  Why should I attend The Aronson Cello Festival (ACF)?

We offer a carefully crafted teaching program with renowned teachers with a focus on key areas: Orchestral, Solo Performance, Chamber, working with Conductors and more! The Festival also has three days of special events that will inspire students and teachers to grow as musicians and provoke thought and discourse.

Private lessons are part of the ACF curriculum. Teachers will be paired with students by administrators.

10.  Who can participate? Are there age requirements? 

ACF is open to US Citizens and international students of all backgrounds. There are no age requirements. 

11. Will there be performance opportunities for students?

Yes. We are planning a showcase concert as well as the possibility of a student competition.

12. Who else will be at ACF?

Attending the festival will be leaders in classical music, prominent voices from all areas and award-winning artists from many different areas and professions. Please know that by agreeing to attend, you will be filmed and photographed by respected industry professionals during the festival.

13. Students agree to be filmed and photographed for all purposes including but not limited to promotional, marketing materials.
